I bought 4 of these cards trying to save a little money, and now I'm paying the price! These cards are packaged like originals, but they are cheap Chinese knock-offs. The write speed is much slower than the 4mb/sec class 4 rating. I took these on a video shoot, and had major problems. Just don't do it!!!

Kingston Technology's Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) memory cards are fully compliant with the new Secure Digital Association 2.00 specification. They are a new performance class of SD memory cards designed to meet the storage demands of high-quality digital still and video cameras and other high-resolution image recording devices.
Starting at 4GB, SDHC cards offer larger-volume data storage and optimized recording performance with support for FAT 32 file formats. In addition, Kingston's SDHC cards use new speed "class" ratings known as Class 4 and 6 that deliver a minimum data transfer rate for optimum performance with SDHC devices.
Although identical in size to todays standard SD card, the new SDHC cards are designed differently and are only recognized by SDHC host devices. To ensure compatibility, look for the SDHC logo on cards and host devices (cameras, camcorders, etc.).
For added reliability and durability, our solid-state SDHC memory cards are built of nonvolatile memory components and have no moving parts that could wear out or break. All cards are 100-percent tested and are backed by a lifetime warranty and free live technical support.

The card was not charged to me, but Amazon obviously forgot to put it in the box (shipping box, not product box) along with the camera. Very disappointing. To make matters worse, when you select a product there is not an "issue button" for having not received an order. Simple a "return" or "create review". Well Amazon, here is my review.

I'm sure most people will not notice it unless they are used to LOW resolution picture taking but when I tried this with my new 14MegaPixel camera it took a while to write the picture to the SD card. This was Free with the purchase of my camera but I am still returning it and going to get something that has at least 15MB/second speeds instead of this one that is rated at 4 MB/Sec.
The problem with using slow SD cards like this is when you take a picture it will show "BUSY" on your camera until it writes the picture to the SD card instead of allowing you to take another picture right away.

I ordered the Flip UltraHD Camcorder, 120 mins in black for my husband's birthday. We tried it out at a wedding, and viewing the videos on the camcorder was fine, but the screen is a little small. However, once we put them on the computer and viewed them, the videos were really choppy. We could hear everything that was going on, but some of the screens would freeze and a minute later, the screen that it should be at would evenutually come up. So all in all, we really weren't able to watch the recordings except for on the small screen on the camcorder. We tried opening the videos in different programs on my computer as well, but they did the same thing. One other thing I didn't like about this was that you couldn't record in low-lit rooms, unless you just wanted the audio. A light/flash would be helpful. It was a pretty big disappointment. I bought it thinking this would be super easy to use, and to get HD video at this price. I don't know if I just got a bad one, because most of the reviews talk this camcorder up. But I won't be buying another one.

One Word - Don't
CD80, CD82 and CD182 -- all related models of the same camera are not worth even the inexpensive price.
I bought this as an entry-level camera for my daughter - only to discover photos have significant "noise" (little black spots and under-exposed backgrounds), it drains batteries faster than a cigarette burns (zoom lens is a huge drain), and they suffer from an electronic power switch that randomly refuses to turn the camera on.
Imagine needing to take a photo and having to remove/reinstall the batteries just to turn the camera back on.
Kodak's customer support failed to repair the problem and insists customers use expensive NiMH or Lithium batteries to resolve the power switch problem -- even though the directions say alkaline batteries are fine!
Do yourself a favor and get Canon, Nikon or other higher quality brand to save yourself aggravation.

I bought this as a second camera for those times when I don't need a digital SLR. It takes OK pictures, but I was surprised that it took batteries and did not offer rechargeable batteries. I have a small issue with it and Lightroom as it will not import the pictures into it.
The menus are also not intuitive, it takes a few minutes to figure out what you need to do with the menu to get the camera to take pictures the way you want them.
~ July 17, 2010 ~ Calamity Jane said:My Old Canon was Better
Easy to use. Software is fine. The cropping feature is annoying. You have to place your cursor exactly in the corner of the window before cropping to size, otherwise the entire window moves in a direction you don't want it to go. Downloading the pictures is easy, as is taking the pictures with or without the flash.
But we buy cameras for the end results, not ease of use, and this Kodak fails.
My old Canon Powershot A520 with only 4-pixels took better and clearer photos than this 12-pixel Kodak. I don't understand why that is. I expected much sharper images with a higher pixel camera.
If you're on a budget and want a cheap camera that takes okay pictures, this Kodak is for you. Make sure you keep a stash of extra batteries in your pocket. This camera eats them for lunch.
I would not purchase another one. I'll return to the Canon, probably before this Kodak expires.

Nice resolution, easy to use, but in sunlight, trying to snap a moving target it's impossibly bad. Without a rangefinder it's very hard to zero in on your object (like butterflies), but it's handy and lightweight. I found that I only got about forty shots out of a set of Duracells so if you're going to be using it very much you'll need re-chargeables.

I purchased this case for my GE A1050 camera, so I can carry it around with me all of the time. The hook/belt loop feature was something I was looking for. There is also a full belt loop strap on the back, if you want a more secure mount.
The camera fits inside this case snugly. There is enough padding around the camera to protect it from minor bumps while wearing the case. The zipper pouch will hold two extra AA batteries and a SD card, but nothing more. All together, this set up is not too bulky, but you do notice it when you have it on you. It also fits great inside my wife's purse when I'm too lazy to wear it!
For the price and features of this case to hold a smaller P&S camera, look no further.
~ August 27, 2010 ~ Jeff Kimble from Savannah, GA said:A pretty good little case for the money
I ordered this case to hold my Canon 960IS and it does the job pretty well. The dimensions seem a bit conservative as there should've only been about .1" of room on two sides and it's definitely roomier than that.
It seems solidly built with stitching that is pretty heavy to handle a bit of abuse. It also comes with a carabiner clip and a belt loop if you are the type to make your belt look like Batman's and accessorize the bejesus out of it. The one thing that I wish this had was a heavier nylon. It's much more lightweight than I'd have liked, along the lines of a thin padded nylon instead of the more hardcore deniers. It's also very squishy, not rigid at all like the picture makes it out to be.
The storage pocket is a good size for carrying a couple things but don't expect to carry around all of its accessories. As a lay type of measurement I stuck my (adult male) hand into it and it basically is the exact size of my four fingers wide and my fingers can go in to about the second knuckle. It's not QUITE large enough to put a Canon battery charger in but it could easily hold a spare battery, SD card, and/or cable. That's alright, though, because the case is made more as a tiny holder than a camera bag. Here it all is in a nutshell:
PRO's:
-Small and perfect for the newer, smaller point and shoot cameras
-Carabiner means you can clip it to whatever, quite handy
-Everything is stiched up well
-Accessory pocket can hold true accessories that you'd need while out (extra batt, memory card)
-full length loop on back means you can play superhero or attach to whatever you want depending on your needs and creativity
CON's:
-Very squishy and lightweight nylon. Better served as a secondary line of protection (as in it's in your bag)
-Storage compartment opening all of .1-.2" shy of being able to squeeze a Canon battery charger
-Zipper D-Rings are fairly thin metal so they may snap off over time, leaving you zipper pull-less
CONSENSUS:
Great little item for the everyday person who is just looking for a tiny bag to put their camera in. I don't think it'll hold up to the rigors of heavy outdoor use or other types of abuse but it's a great item for the price.

All I can say is WOW. I have a Canon Rebel T2i/550D with the 18-55mm IS kit lens. I then purchased this lens and the 55-250 mm IS telephoto zoom lens (it arrives today). This 50 mm f/1.8 II has met and exceeded all of my expectations for the lens.
Yes, the AF motor is a little noisy. Yes, the switch between AF/MF is a little stiff, which might be considered a good thing for some photographers. The manual focus ring is somewhat oddly placed at first, but after a few days of use I've quickly gotten used to it.
This really is an excellent camera for bokeh. Need a shallow depth of field but on a budget? LOOK NO FURTHER.
Trust me, you won't feel bad about getting this lens over the f/1.4 USM lens that's over 3 times the price. I would only recommend skipping this lens and getting the more expensive f/1.4 if you think that's a lens you will want one day. In other words, just save your money and get the more expensive one if you're a professional photographer, not on a budget, or must have the best and most expensive.
If you're like me and you're an avid novice photographer that just wants people to say, "wow, those are great pics" and not trying to make money off it, seriously, just BUY THIS LENS. Skip the "add to wishlist" part, just buy it.
At $100, this might be one of the best regular price (i.e. non sale price) deals I've ever gotten. EVER. I haven't snapped any pics with my 18-55mm IS kit lens since I got this 50 mm. And by non-sale price I mean Canon has this lens listed at $99 and it's sold for about that price usually. Many of the Canon EF lenses on Amazon are discounted compared to the MSRP, but this lens sells right about MSRP most of the time.

I bought this for my new husband to take on our honeymoon to Hawaii for our wet/underwater adventures. It worked great! But first, the bad/needs improvement issues: There was only one problem that we had, after shooting some video, the system locked up and the recording seemed as if it wouldn't stop. After a hard reboot (removing the battery to turn off, then restarting it), it worked fine and all the pics and video were still there. Of course, if you were underwater at the time something like this happened, it would be a much bigger problem. But, we used this device for the entire trip, and that was the only problem we had. The other thing that Kodak could improve upon is to add a tightener to the strap for the camera. It's great they included a strap, but it is still quite loose, and if you are using the camera on a boat or while snorkeling like we were, it is most likely going to slip off your wrist at some point. We solved this problem by creating our own strap tightener with a hair band, however it would be nice if Kodak would address this easy to fix (and most likely extremely cheap to fix) issue.
That being said, the video quality is fantastic with this little guy. You DO have to be aware of how fast you are moving the camera while shooting a video, you have to keep it at a pretty slow, steady motion, but that is really to be expected, not sure why anyone would be surprised about that. The camera also takes really great outdoor and underwater still pictures. I would highly recommend this purchase to anyone who wants to capture really special trips. This is not a camera for every day usage (unless you happen to be underwater every day), but it is a must have for wet or underwater adventures!!!

This camera is just great fun. So portable. Clean videos. Light and easy to carry. Why, I can't say enough about it. Just popped the SDHC card into my Mac and Iphoto picked it right up. What fun! Video on the run. I haven't tested the waterproof feature yet, but that's going to happen soon. At this price, it's a very worthy and fun thing to have. Go get one. Have a nice time. :)

The firmware that currently comes with these cameras, version 1.03, is broken and will not record more than 4GB of data to at least some SDHC cards even if more space is available. (Not 4GB per video which is a normal filesystem limitation, but 4GB TOTAL.) In fact, not only will it refuse to record more than 4GB, once you reach this limit the controls lock up and the only way to reset the camera is to remove the battery. This defective firmware has been available for over 4 months, and there is no way to downgrade to 1.02 (which did not have this issue). I use a Transcend 8GB Class 6 card which works fine in other devices; others have reported issues with 16GB and 32GB cards.
Trying to contact Kodak technical support for this camera is also next to impossible unless you are living in the past. Their live chat only works on old versions of Firefox or IE (no Safari, no Chrome, no Firefox 4). Several of the links on their site to the Contact Us page are broken. Once you finally find their feedback form, it too is busted and will only display a list of their non-video digital cameras when you select "Digital Video Camera", so you can't get help there unless you intentionally choose the wrong camera model.
Beyond that, the waterproofing works as advertised, and picture quality is about what you would expect from a really cheap pocket cam--which is to say, extremely over-compressed. At an average bitrate of just 12Mbps (Main@L4.2), you will experience substantial loss of picture detail. There is no way to change the bitrate the camera uses. The same bitrate is used for all shooting modes, so you might think to switch to 720p to improve the picture quality, but the built-in resizer is so horrible that it makes the video look WORSE (like badly upconverted SD footage). That said, at 1080p, I doubt the picture quality is any worse than other cameras in the price range, especially since they all seem to use the same Ambarella AVC encoder.
The CMOS sensor is slow even when set to 60fps mode, so there is a fair amount of wobble caused by the rolling shutter. Low light performance is decent given the sensor size. There is no macro focus, so pay attention to the minimum focal length. The camera gets warm when it is on for more than about 10 minutes. The digital zoom cannot be disabled, but thanks to the waterproofing it is harder to activate than on a Flip.
If Kodak releases a newer firmware that fixes the 4GB recording issue, this would be a solid four-star budget HD video camera. With no ability to record more than an hour at a time, however, I would strongly recommend finding a less buggy alternative (or expect to change cards a lot and plan accordingly).

Overall the camera takes decent videos at full wide only. If you zoom in color and contrast drops drastically the more you use it. Photos are not what this is meant for at all so dont plan on anything great in that area. I was happy with the video quality at full wide until it started randomly loosing footage. It happened on a few occasions with multiple cards so i know that it was the camera. Also on a few occasions the camera would completely lock and since there is no reset button the only way to fix the problem is to take out the battery. That issue alone is unexceptable on a waterproof camera due to the fact if you are taking video in the water you can not fix it until it is all dry. I returned my camera due to these issues of locking up and occasional loss of footage.

purchased this in advance of a Hawaii vacation. Filmed a friends wedding - they were "amazed" by the picture quality. Have also tried shooting under water in a swimming pool, again very good quality pictures. Strapped it to my motorcycle and shot some video at 60 MPH - smooth and again very good quality video - software easy easy to use. All videos shot thus far have been on the 720 - 60 fps setting would assume 1080 setting would be even better quality video although not as well suited for "action" shooting. Still pictures are very acceptable (5MP) and make good quality 5x7 prints. All-in-all best camera for the money I've owned - and I owned over a dozen digital cameras over the years.

I bought this memory card sometime ago for my Blackbery 8520 & it works great with it! I have put loads of pictures on it as well as tons of music! & i still have over 3 Gb of memory left, its pretty much awesome! I use my windows media player on my PC to transfer all the music and pictures through the USB cable that came with the blackberry and i can't believe it was that easy to transfer everything! You can still use the adapter that came with it as well to transfer your media, but since i gotta take off my case on my phone for that (which isn't all that easy) its easier for me to use the USB cable.... Overall im incredibly happy with the purchase!

I got it for my phone and it works great. Comes with an adapter so it made it easier.
