On reading previous reviews, it fits in my Kenmore. Sears wanted $80 for one. I got two for less. Awesone. Expect a bit of sputtering and weird taste for a bit when first installed. (Run the water until it tastes good or dump that new made ice.) Then it works great.

Almost half the price of Sears. Great value and free shipping! I will be purchasing these again.
~ August 29, 2010 ~ LMS said:Questionable life cycle
This package is definitely a lot cheaper than the ones from Sears, who makes a living by charging ridiculous prices to unsuspecting customers, of which I had been one of them, paying twice for a couple of years. However I find the specification of this package as lacking some capabilities of the Sears model. Not sure if this is a marketing requirement by Sears or there is really a difference. I have no problem with the water quality, though I have not experienced the thrill other reviewed have demonstrated.
I live in Chicago, one of the best water sources in the nation from Lake Michigan. But my refrigerator signals me to change filter only after 3 months of usage. This really makes me feel suspicious if the 6 month manufacturer recommended usage period is an exaggeration of what the filter can really manage.

Works great - totally plug-and-play. This is labeled as a Whirlpool filter but it will work with Kenmore Elite and other Kenmore appliances that use the PUR system. As you know Sears and most places sell these for at least 50.00 so this is a great value. I chose this one over the PUR-branded filter because of another review I read. Evidently according to the label this one filters out more "stuff" than the standard filter. This is a great buy.

For under 10 dollars I was easily able to sharpen my very nice knives. It normally costs me about 75 dollars to get a good edge back on my 11 knives. This handy little sharpener is well worth the money. I bought 2 so I could give one to my daughter.
~ August 31, 2010 ~ J. Williamson from Huntington, WV USA said:Not as good as its reputation, won't give you a razor's edge
I've hand-sharpened knives for 25 or so years now, and have tried nearly every sharpening system and sharpening materials out there. In all of my considerable experience (sorry if that sounds a bit cocky), nothing beats hand-sharpening on flat whetstones that have a high grit, or using a leather strop with jeweler's rouge to polish up an edge to a glass smooth, super razor sharp edge.
I kept hearing such wonderful things from people about how good of a sharpener this AccuSharp 001 knife sharpener is, so I decided, since I really like to have very sharp knives, to give it a try. I own several other sharpeners like this, both in design and in material (tungsten carbide), and have never been satisfied with the edge they produce. Before purchasing this product, probably the best I had tried before were sharpeners like the Smith Abrasives, Inc. PP1 Pocket Pal Knife Sharpener, which has both a tungsten carbide sharpener to quickly get a semi-sharp edge, and also a ceramic bladed sharpener to finish, or "polish" the edge into sharpness.
This AccuSharp 001 sharpener is actually the best product of this kind I have tried. Despite only having the tungsten carbide blades, it actually gives a good knife a decent edge. I tried this product on cheap 440A stainless steel (no name Wally World type knives), 440HC stainless steel (typical Buck knife blade material, which is pretty decent steel), to high quality blade materials like high carbon 1095 steel (Ontario, SOG, some Cold Steel, Spyderco, and a few others) and VG-1 and VG-10 stainless steels (again, SOG, some Cold Steel, Spyderco, Benchmade, etc).
Even on high quality steel blades, this sharpener only delivers a decent edge. Not a razor edge, but a decent edge. No offense to the previous reviewer, I like to use a knife for its intended purpose...to cut through something with MINIMAL effort...which cannot be done without at LEAST a razor edge. Whether I'm preparing dinner, to woodworking, etc etc, I simply must have a razor's edge at the least to work with, to make my work go easier.
I have still found no better method that using high grit flat stones, followed by polishing with a leather strop and jeweler's rouge, to give me that super razor edge on good quality steel that I prefer to use.
SO, if you only want a pretty decent edge to work with, then this product is, hands down, the best one to use to give you that decent edge. Just make sure you follow the instructions and only use very, very slight pressure, or you'll never get that decent edge.
If what you want or need is a razor edge, or super razor edge, then this product will disappoint you. It all depends on what you want/need.
But, again, as far as this type of sharpener goes, this is by far the best one I've used.

Featuring a unique, ergonomic handle, the AccuSharp fits neatly in either hand to accommodate both right- and left-handed users, and it includes a full-length guard that protects your fingers throughout the sharpening process.
Fast, Effective Sharpening
To get started sharpening, you simply place your knife on a table or counter top with the cutting edge up. Hold the knife handle securely with one hand. Then let the "V" notch on the sharpener straddle the blade, and use your thumb to apply light pressure as you draw the AccuSharp down past the point of the blade.
When you first use the AccuSharp on a blade, several passes may be required to make sure that your knife's cutting angle conforms to the AccuSharp angle. But once that angle is achieved the first time, it should take just two or three brief passes to put a sharp edge back on your knife--which means that sharpening fits into your busy schedule instead of interfering with it.
Dependable, Long-Lasting Construction
To deliver years of reliable use, AccuSharp sharpening blades are crafted from diamond-honed tungsten carbide, one of the hardest known materials. And because even the toughest industrial-quality blades eventually begin to show wear, AccuSharp's unique design allows you to reverse the blade to double its life span. Most users report an average of five to 10 years between blade replacements, which means that it's easy to ensure that your sharpener will be ready to go when you need it.
AccuSharp Knife Sharpeners will not rust, and they can be cleaned easily with soap and water or in your dishwasher.

I found an online calculator I use to to enter the time the unit was recording, the amount of kwh used during that time and the rate of my electricity that the electric company charges me, then it spits out how much it costs per month and year. Just search for kill a watt calculator in google and you'll find lots of these. I'm amazed to see that my 42inch tv uses almost as much electricity as my full size freezer! I highly recommend this product.

This is a piece of junk, you can't view the data unless you have it plugged in, so for me, when I plug it into small or hard to get at places, or when I use bigger plugs (like the Air conditioner which the plug covers the display on the unit) I can't even read it, and if you unplug it, it loses all the data you were looking at.
So even if you can manage to read it while plugged in, it doesn't really tell you anything useful, it just has
meaningless stats.
Waste of money.

The 5 stars is out of fairness to a kit that has not been used yet; I'll edit later, as deserving. It just arrived and I've been looking for drill bits since then. I see all the glowing reviews and only a couple of mentions that you have to use hex shank drill bits. I only read a dozen reviews before ordering, practically salivating over the great reviews. I did not realize the drill would also be a hex drive and that there's a truly limited drill bit selection on the market. The quality of most two-piece bits has been called into question on reviews of those bits. I am considering buying the adapt-a-drive keyed chuck (by Jacobs) so I can use the vast array of round bits already on hand and I did buy a set of Ryobi TiN coated bits with hex drives to try (hmmm????). I have gobs of driver stuff on hand and found that most sets only provide 5 or 6 drill bits with 30 pcs of redundant driver parts. I'd love to know how others are getting so much happy drilling done?? Thanks for any advice/input on the real business end of the work, now that we all know the units are GREAT.

I ordered these through a "deal of the day" and I am very pleased with the size and power of these little units. I read the review criticizing the drill for not having an adjustable chuck but that is not a factor. I have bits that fit into this chuck already. The best part is that I throw these into my tool bag and they fit without adding extra bulk. The charger is even relatively compact. The power, especially for the impact driver is adequate for my needs. I couldn't be more pleased.

I've used them just about every day for the past two months and they have lived up to every glowing review I read prior to purchasing. There's no need to re-state all of the good stuff others have written, so I'll just highlight my own favorite features: the light weight and the well-balanced, ergonomic grip. I can use these drills skillfully with either hand after only minimal practice and they are comfortable to hold and stable in a variety of positions. Very often I'll find myself holding one upside-down with my palm at the rear of the drill or driver and directly in-line with the bit for added pressure and control. I had been a huge fan of the quick-flip drill and drive system for countersinking screws, but nothing beats having a dedicated drill and driver, especially when you can hold one in your left hand and one in your right! Buy these and you will not be disappointed.

The filter comes with all manner of faucet attachment adapters, thankfully they had one to work on my archaic faucet.
After running cold water through it for 10 minutes as directed, the filter works great and the water tastes...filtered...which is what you're paying for.
As other reviewers have mentioned, it runs a bit slower than the Brita models but I've had two of those wear out on me. So be aware that patience is a requirement for owning this item, but reliability is its reward.
~ August 25, 2010 ~ M. Smith from Virginia, USA said:Easily the best
After our second Brita on-faucet filter broke, I decided to try another brand. After doing some research, we decided to give Culligan a try based on its Level 3 filter, compact size, and metal fittings. After a month of use, we're very satisfied.
Installation was very easy, since we'd already removed the aerator from our faucet. I feel MUCH more confident in the mounting, though, since the metal fittings sealed very nicely and seem sturdy - unlike Brita or Pur. The unit is also pretty compact, and it has a very handy auto-off function that automatically switches back to unfiltered water when the tap is turned off. Flavor is nice and clean after we let it run for the recommended 10 minutes the first time.
Two drawbacks I've noted, but neither is a deal-breaker:
1) Water flow is fairly slow, but not much slower than the Brita. I can fill a 16-ounce glass in 13 seconds, which isn't terrible, but if I'm filling a pot I usually walk away and do something else while it fills.
2) There's no indicator light to remind you when to replace the filter. I actually really liked that about the Brita, but everything else about this filter is so much better (including the price), that I'll stick with the Culligan. The filter comes with a little sticker to put on your calendar to remind you instead, which I ended up putting on my fridge.
Overall, I'll stick with Culligan from now on. Recommended!

8/17/2010 Installed fairly easily. Came with adapters which I did use to install. The construction looks very durable, unlike some of the competitors like PUR(At the store the display model was already broken) and Brita. I also did research in reviews for other models, most reviews of the competition such as brita and PUR never really complained about the taste of the water, just mainly the products flimsiness and prone to breaking in a fairly short time (2 to 6 months for bad cases) average being 2 years. One recommendation for using any faucet filter after reading so many reviews don't use full pressure if you want it to last longer. I currently live in San Diego and the tap water is not the greatest. As per taste, its not bottled water but the filter makes the water just taste like nothing and there isn't much of an after taste that I can notice(both me and my roommate agree to this). That is pretty darn good for me. I wanted a faucet filter because it saves the hassle of filling jugs constantly and keeping it refrigerated. I don't like really cold water and for me tap water temperature is nice. It works nicely you turn the water on. pull on the nob tab out. Then the water flows through the filter, instead of having to push the tab back in. You can shut off the water and it will automatically go back in defaulting to the non filtering. I really like that system. I will do a follow up in 2 months as per how long the filter will perform.

A convenient quick-release latch lets you convert your blower into a vacuum in seconds without any tools, while a metal impeller makes it easy to mulch debris.
The magnesium serrated metal blades on the impeller shred leaves and other unwanted debris into a fine mulch that you can use around your lawn and garden, saving money and recycling important nutrients. It also makes it easy to dispose of unwanted yard waste, since the impeller can reduce 16 bags’ worth of leaves to one bag.

Compared with gas blowers, electric blowers are quieter, more eco-friendly, and require less maintenance. They start up instantly without requiring you to master a finicky pull cord. There's no messy gas-oil mixture to worry about, and you don't have to contend with noxious fumes to get a job done.
This high-powered blower also weighs in at a very manageable 7.5 pounds, making it easy on your back.

This is a great emergency lantern. I was impressed with how much it lights up a room. The lantern also feels pretty solid for only $25. I still wouldn't want to drop it since the light housing could break. As with other reviewers I feel the green blinking light is useless. Its not annoying to me nor am I worried about it draining power, it simply isn't bright enough to do any good. Also, there were some complaints about the battery installation. I can't really say I had much of a problem with putting the batteries in. It did take me a few seconds to figure it out, but it is simple. There were arrows indicating where to place the bottom piece. Even if the arrows are not there you can see the proper orientation since it will only go in one way. I am sure they still could have come up with something easier. but it wasn't a problem for me. Overall, these are great to have around the house for when the power goes out. For the price I am impressed.

Small lantern that puts out the light. Good white light that makes the dark run and hide. Excellent for power outages, have used several times and still on the same battery. My 8 year old had the battery compartment figured out before I got the second lantern package open. Overall these are outstanding.

This is perfect for the tent or, in my case, the tent trailer. I like the fact that this light is compact, which means it can fit in our camping gear box with ease, uses D batteries for extremely long battery life and has 2 settings. The lower setting is slightly less bright than the higher, yet double the battery life. In addition to the handle, there's a hook on the underside, which is what I used to hang it from a support bar within the trailer.
To sum it up, this light is bright, compact and has long battery life. I was using a 4d Coleman florescent, but that's now going to be set aside for this unit.

I purchased this for my camping trip to the Smokies and I love it! It is very bright, even on the low setting. The strobe is very annoying, but will definitely serve its purpose in attracting attention in a time of need! This is the best lantern out there for the money, in my opinion. You will not regret the purchase.
I will, like others have, suggest that you remove the batteries for storage. The flashing green LED on the front will drain your batteries after a while.
~ August 23, 2010 ~ Whodathotit from Sunnyvale, CA USA said:Negative point for parasitic battery drain.
The energy drain from the green LED which flashes 24/7 is not insignificant. I have a River Rock LED lantern which uses three AA cells, and also has the flashing green LED 24/7. After a couple months, there is very little energy left in the cells when I go to use the lantern. The duration will be longer in a three-D cell lantern, of course, as D-cells hold 3-4 times the energy as AA cells. But the point is, most people probably store an emergency lantern with the cells in it, ready for use. And when you go to use those cells you paid good money for, you don't expect them to be drained for no good reason. One poster mentioned that he deemed the parasitic drain was insignificant because he stored his lantern a year, and when he turned it on, it lit up. Big deal. You can spend $30 to fill up your car with gas, then store it a month with a small leak in the gas tank which drips every few seconds. A month later you go to start your car and, guess what, it starts and revs great. But that doesn't change the fact that there's only a gallon of gas left in the tank thanks to the LED, er ... leak. The flashing green LED is a pointless design with no redeeming value.

i don't know if the other reviewers are talking about the same filter, Culligan FM-15RA Level 3 Faucet Filter.
i bought 6 filters and a new one works for about 3 days, then the flow goes down to about 1 gallon in 12 hours or so.
~ August 27, 2010 ~ Linda said:Adaptor didn't fit.
The faucet filter was very easy to install once I went to the plumbing supply store and purchased the correct size adaptor. It comes with two, but they didn't fit my faucet. Other than that, it works fine.

~ August 13, 2010 ~ Richard Pabst from Framingham, MA said:Do Not Buy More Than One At A Time
Buy one at a time, and not too far in advance. Filter works well, but Culligan only warrants for 30 days from date of purchase. If you buy several (as I did) and one is defective (spurting water all over kitchen!), no real way to obtain a replacement.

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R15ZVCQFRWLE79 The deer no longer think our garden is a midnight buffet as the Scarecrow works like a charm. Yes, I have to remember to turn it off when I go in the backyard, but it does not spray that much, mostly makes noise which startles the forest critters. Though our neighbours grandkids think it is blast to run through on hot day, which is fine. However the spray head is made completely of plastic and after 1 1/2 summers of duty, the nub that holds that top flapper broke off. Lucky enough the plastic head is a standard design and I found the same head (metal construction) at Home Depot on one of those ground stakes, bought, took it off the stake and installed it into the Scarecrow and back in business. I would still recommend this unit highly as it really does work and is worth the effort if you want the deer to stay out of your garden.

I have had problems with cats using my yard and garden as a litter box. I tried everything from using organic, chemicals, and even going midevil by buring boards with nails sticking up. But those buggers would find an empty spot and go there. So this was my last resort and it has been a blessing! No more stinky cat poop in my yard :) If you have problems with any animals I would recommend this product!!

I purchased this thing because I grow and sell Koi in a large outdoor pond. We had a great big blue heron come a callin in addition to the kingfishers and osprey in our area and I just wasn't feeling very secure. I didn't want to use netting to protect the fish as the natural surroundings would be compromised. I hooked up this thing in less than 20 minutes and had it working. It works like a charm and no more big bad birds! PS put the stickers on before you bring it outdoors, its alot earlier. I will be buying another when my additional pens are complete. [...]

Whether you're a dedicated organic vegetable gardener or a parent looking out for the health of children and pets that play in your yard, you'll appreciate the simple, innovative, and effective water-based concept behind the Scarecrow Motion-Activated Sprinkler. It's also a great choice for neighborhoods where fences are prohibited and for people who consider wire fences and other visual barriers unappealing.
When the ScareCrow detects an animal it instantly releases a short but startling burst of water. The sudden spray of water and the movement and noise of the sprinkler scares animals away. Animals associate this negative experience with the area and avoid your yard in the future.
Versatile and Broad-Reaching for Maximum Effectiveness
The Scarecrow is versatile enough to keep deer, rabbits, and other foragers from snacking on plants and bulbs, to prevent dogs from digging up newly seeded lawns, to keep the cat from using your garden as a litter box, and to scare predators like herons and raccoons away from your fish pond.
The ScareCrow's motion detector is powerful enough to guard an area up to 1000 square feet of coverage with a single sprinkler. For added coverage, Scarecrow sprinklers can be linked in series to guard larger spaces.
Efficient Design and Easy to Set Up
Setting the Scarecrow up is fast and easy, and doesn't require any special tools. Simply install a standard 9-volt battery, connect the sprinkler to your hose, push the 17-inch stake into ground to secure the unit, and set the adjustable sprinkler arc to cover the area you want protected.

~ September 3, 2010 ~ Verne Stolte from Iowa said:Broken bulb and Missin pad for starters
I bought two traps. The amazon box came poorly packaged and both product boxes appeared to have been opened. The product boxes are made of a paper-thin material as well.
I discovered that one box was missing a pad and the other had a broken bulb. Between the two I had a working trap but getting the glue pad to stay in place was a challenge. Perhaps, I had a defective trap but there was nothing to hold the pad in place and I couldn't very well press it down into place with the glue-side up.
The instructions really didn't cover inserting the glue pad, just said peel it off and place in bottom of trap. Yeah right. The process took me 10 minutes, some scotch tape, and looked like something out of a Laurel and Hardy film.
It is an attractive nightlight though.
~ August 29, 2010 ~ Katmandu said:As advertised
Nice to see something that works as advertised. I bought one of these traps and put it in the living room at night to see how many fleas it would attract. I had previously sprayed this room and didn't expect there to be any fleas, but it attracted and trapped about 50 the first night; more the next night. I ordered 2 more to place in other rooms and on the back porch where one of my cats spends most of her time. Great aid to be used in conjunction with other treatments. I definitely recommend this item.

I bought 3 of these units in an effort to avoid using chemicals in my home. 2 of the 3 work great. The light-bulb in the 3rd burned out as soon as it was plugged in and I have had a difficult time getting the issue resolved with the manufacturer. Buy extra sticky pads because they are only good for 2-4 weeks.
~ August 24, 2010 ~ D. A. Wils from Pennsylvania said:Catches fleas, but some traps are faulty
My daughter came home from a visit with her dad, and unbeknownst to me, he was battling a flea problem. Long story short, my carpets were infested within a couple of weeks. I've used Adams carpet powder, boric acid, and Adams foggers, constant vacuuming, and they show back up within a few days. I ordered 6 of these, and within 24 hours, the first one wouldn't light. It has been a week, the 2 traps in my living room have quite a lot of fleas stuck to them, and the other rooms' traps have at least 10-15 each. Last night, a bulb burned out on another trap, and I've replaced it with the bulb from the first trap, but it still won't light (so 2 traps are useless.) I personally think if you bought the sticky refills and got some cheap desk lamps, aimed the light at the trap, it'd do the same thing. Currently, any fleas that jump on us get picked off and thrown onto the sticky part of the trap. I just ordered a few cans of Ultracide, and if that doesn't work, I'm going to rip out all of the carpets in my home. Drastic, but better than having fleas.

This is not only very nice to look at but it feels sturdy and heavy, nothing worse than a flimsy piece of bath or kitchen appliance. This is a very nice faucet and I love the one handle bar, very easy and convenient when you don't have the time to fumble with knobs and temperature settings, I've used this style since I was a kid growing up in Poland and I'm still a fan.

The American Standard Reliant 3 Faucet is nice looking set and the quality is something that will likely have this faucet sitting in my bathroom for years. There is nothing fancy about this faucet, it's fairly standard when it comes to design, but it does look very nice, sleek, and modern. I got the polished chrome version.
Installation was fairly quick and straightforward. I have installed a faucet before, but by no means am I a plumber. The instructions were pretty clear and concise and the supply lines were included (I'm not sure that supply lines are always included, but they were). The length of hoses should be sufficient for just about any job.
I was very pleased with the quality and craftsmanship. The parts seem very solid and strong. Overall, the price is fairly decent for a quality faucet (trust me, cheap faucets do not last long).
~ July 19, 2010 ~ Liberty4all from New York, NY USA said:Actually is an Improvement
Right out of the box this faucet feels pretty substantial for a 4 inch faucet and it's attractive. However, there are plenty of nice-looking faucets available. The real improvement here is the drain assembly whereby the pop-up screws into the drain via a cable rather than the common method of a stick coming out of the drain that needs to be threaded through a perforated tab and then tightened down a process that is sometimes difficult to line up properly. The Reliant does save time in installation and assuming this faucet holds up, bravo to American Standard for pushing the faucet install a major step ahead.
~ June 28, 2010 ~ Bill Nicholas said:A solid choice for the bathroom
I have *never* changed a faucet without it tuning into an all day affair, and with this faucet it was no different. Luckily, though, it wasn't because of the installation process. This one installed easily. It's uninstalling faucets and getting in and out lines hooked up that is the problem (I wish that instead of marketing products as easy to install, they would create features that promote easy to unistall). That isn't the point, though. This faucet truly is an American Standard, all the way down to it being made in Mexico (Central America, but still American, right?). You've seen this design before and it works beautifully. Nice, easy to reach and adjust centrally located handle. Very smooth movement. Drain handle right in back. The faucet height and reach is just right for bathroom sinks and the water flow is sufficient. I have this in my kids' bathroom and it fits their needs nicely (single handle better than dual controls). I like the fact they made the basin connectors (how the faucet attaches to the sink) underneath plastic ones that you can screw on with your hands. I hate it when they use nuts that are larger than most adjustable wrenches and you can barely get them them to turn. I would also hope that plastic will not corrode so when I replace it in the future it is easiler to remove. The connector for the drain (to the up and down lever) actually snaps on in place, eliminating the whole procedure of pinching a springy metal connector onto the rod and making sure it is in the right place. Big time saver. So, you may not impress anyone with a fancy designer faucet, but it is a solid, good enough looking choice for most bathrooms.
